Brand Introduction
Gale is an activewear clothing company with a focus on windbreakers and rain jackets. Gale makes jackets for the adventurous and outdoorsy types, letting them experience nature as they please.
Project Goals
To reach past its existing customer base to a younger demographic, Gale wanted an updated digital presence. This included a motion graphic with their logo, templates for social media posts to highlight their products and an updated website for desktop and mobile. Also included are updated brand guidelines for colour and type and new packaging for an improved experience for those ordering their clothing online.
Since Gale is targeting a younger demographic, they want these new potential customers to feel confident taking that first step into nature. The imagery of clear skies, mountain ranges and breathtaking views is used to entice these potential customers to see the beauty of nature for themselves. Gale jackets are a tool for those who want to see what’s out there.

The thick type used in Gale’s logo is meant to represent the dependability of their products. Wind sweeps through the G up into the counter, with the rest of it and the remaining letters unaffected. This is to show that, while wearing Gale, you can stand strong in the elements.
Gale’s brand colours were chosen to represent the experience of being in nature. The darkest represents foliage and being deep under the shade of trees. The vibrant green used in the logo is meant to evoke excitement in exploring and a passion for new experiences. Finally, the lightest represents the clean air, the stunning landscapes and the calming effect of nature.
